We’re just two days away from the Bottom Forty Interior with Vin Sol this Saturday at Kremwerk. Our musical salivary glands are dripping with anticipation so we’re giving you a daily sneak peek into our record bags. Today’s track was selected by spaceotter and is called In The Box by Andreas Saag. It’s a minimal tech house jam with a few old school breakbeats thrown in for good measure. Enjoy and we’ll see you this Saturday kittehs!
Just three more days until the Bottom Forty Interior this Saturday at Kremwerk! So to help you keep track, we’re giving you a sneak peak of what we have on tap for you. Today we have a vocal hook-heavy deep house jam by Borrowed Identity selected by Nark!
Only 23 years young, Borrowed Identity resides in Germany but original hails from Romania. Even at his tender age, he seems to have a well seasoned ear with no less than eight releases under his belt.
Ok listen up, the Bottom Forty Interior party is this Saturday Sep. 13 at Kremwerk and we have the amazing DJ/producer Vin Sol on hand to shake us down! All the Bottom Forty residents will be on hand to contribute their signature sounds to the night as well. What can you expect to hear you ask? Well first off, you can be assured that everything you’ll hear will be qual-i-tee.
I’ll give you a little sneak peek of what’s in my virtual record bag for this weekend. Starting with a track from Moiré out on the Werkdiscs imprint. It’s a moody and acid tinged jam that bounces around your head like an atom under the influence of hallucinogens. The B40 crew will surly serve it up propperly this Saturday!
Bonus! Here’s a mix Moiré put together for Fact Magazine last month.

The year was 1990 and house music was thriving. Occasionally a midst all the Top 40 house mixes generated by the big labels, we DJ’s got the obscure small indie release, Dee Dee Brave’s “My My Lover” was in the later. Going to the Record Pool once a week was a real treat as you never knew what was going to be in your box.
This unreleased instrumental mix is one of those underground web downloads that we all need to have in our library, generously shared by Kerri Chandler. House DJ’s worldwide have been known to drop this in their sets. There’s a bit of a Liz Torres feel to this record in the vocal version and her sultry cry for, My My Lover.

This is a track I’ve been obsessed about for a while now…a glorious 90’s house record with an ethereal sample from Freddie Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower.” When I found that the item was vinyl only, and Discogs was listing copies going for $70-105 each! OW! So after whining about it on Facebook, my friend Mark O’Brien from San Francisco sent me his record as a way to extend the Burning Man concept of unexpected gifting! And big thanks to Chris Savenetti as well for the vinyl rip…feel the love? I do. Let me pay the love forward with you too…
