On October 3rd, 2013, you’ll be able to have new music from New Kanada label boss, Adam Marshall. Listening to “Night Train” I can easily imagine myself on a long ride, looking out the window as world zips by. It’s a wonderful blur.

After a chill day of sun, ice cream and cartoons I’m trying to have a little party. This techno shindig is happening in my headphones, and the man behind this private party is Adam Marshall. He’s the head of one my new favorite labels, New Kanada. If you enjoyed my recent B40 post on Graze, you’ll remember Marshall being 1/2 of this special duo (XI being the other). A couple tracks in his White Mouse EP on New Kanada have shown up in my sets at The Eagle, True Love Art Gallery and the Gospel Pride Party in Portland last weekend. This is some sleek, consistent techno, coming from a producer with over a decade of production experience.
This is by far my favorite EP at the moment. Graze is a collaboration that includes XI, one of the most distinct artists ever to be featured on Disco Droppings (here’s my interview with him last year). He teams up with Adam Marshall, head of the wonderful New Kanada label. Their pairing has brilliant results in this 6-track EP. It gets better and better with each listen. Strong rhythms, crystal-clear instruments and ethereal sonic environments, ready take you on quite the ride.
