Very intrigued by Walton’s debut album on Hyperdub. I respect hearing several styles and genres placed together in a distinct new way, and Beyond is a perfect example. You’ll catch some pieces of underground dance music; house, grime, garage and bits of R&B. But it’s the overall Beyond package and effortless execution of these elements that dazzles me. Walton has created his own environment, with enough diversity to attract a wide range of listeners.

Wanted to share a couple gems from my man Pressure Suit. “Danger Candy Ladies” is a slick one, enticing you to go deep. Then there’s the blissful “新宿駅”. Finish with “Wavcity” and you’re golden.

Interview and tracklist after the jump…
Back in February of last year, my label 7 Deadly Records put out it’s 3rd release. On Valentines Day, we showcased 2 love inspired remixes. Producer Sphyramid made his own interpretation of Stardust’s “Music Sounds Better With You”, while I remixed Daft Punk’s “Something About Us”. This release is free and can be downloaded via Bandcamp, the other 3 releases from the label are pay what you want. Hope you enjoy.
