I recently came across Seattle based producer Codebase through a ‘suggestions for you’ click on Juno and picked up this Falling Bricks record, and it is gorgeous. Riding a fine line between chill out, dance, acid, nu disco and electronica, it’s already gotten some play out of my record bag, check it out! Also go over to Codebase’s Soundcloud for tons of free downloads/remixes.
Every track on this record is a beaut, go pick it up now on Juno.
I’ve had my eyes and ears on Discotexas for a little over a year now. The name seemed a bit off-putting to me at first, but once I learned that they’re just a bunch of fun-loving Portuguese party people, their name seemed to make more sense. Their collective sound really speaks to my current tastes in electo, house, indie and nu-disco sounds. Their knack at melding all of these genres together is remarkable. I feel like they craft all their releases personally for me.
They recently released this fun, low slung stomper by Da Chick singing and rapping about her cocktail..
