About La Fraicheur-
For over a decade now as a DJ – first in Paris, then Montreal and now in Berlin – La Fraicheur has been brewing her own blend of Deep House & Techno beats sprinkled with tropical soulful Bass & Booty sounds when the mood strikes her. Marathon DJ, part of the Leonizer Record crew and the Female:Pressure network, she can go on for countless hours, running the gamut from classics to this new song that got released two hours ago… She is a resident in Berlin’s reknowned Wilde Renate. Now she’s expanding her craft by producing her own music, and starting 2016 with an armful of EPs ranging from ravy epic tech-house to dark pumping electro, spacious open air deep house to melancholic electronica.
She has toured in France, Germany, USA East & West Coasts, Canada,Mexico, Japan, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia etc? including at famed clubs Tresor, About Blank, KitKat Club, Prince Charles, Kater Holzig, Wilde Renate (Berlin) Showcase, Social Club, Nouveau Casino, Pulp, Batofar, Machine du Moulin
Rouge (Paris), Mono (Mexico) or Trump Room (Tokyo) La Fraicheur hosted radioshows on Radio Campus France, Berlin Community Radio, Reboot.fm,CKUTMontreal, Frission & Sceen.
There’s a certain fire in the air lately and it’s the reverberations of things new and old coming together. Friends and artists have been devoted to their work, all the work that goes behind the shimmery shield of social media, that you have no idea about. Ten years of personal perseverance and over five years of Bottom Forty perseverance, regardless of who fired us for not being mainstream enough, has helped made this release happen and it is just one of many debuts to happen this year, not just for me and Bottom Forty, but for so many of the people you know and the people that have kept you dancing, prancing, fucking, connecting and growing for years. Please, from the fragile, artistic hearts of all those in the Bottom Forty crew, come join us this Saturday at Kremwerk to celebrate the N.D.S.F. release!

Read the love from Resident Advisor!
Karl Kamakahi is one of the gold standards of house music in Seattle. Founder of Seattle’s De La Creme crew, Karl learned to DJ in 1989 in his home Pearl City, Hawaii, taught by legendary Hawaiian DJ James Coles. He began experimenting with freestyle, transitioned into techno, and eventually felt the most at home with house music in the early years of the house movement in 1992. Playing parties and residencies Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, Portland, Madison, and St. Paul, Karl’s latest efforts in Seattle caught the notice of Brian Lyons and Wesley Holmes of the world-renowned Flammable crew. Karl was asked to join as resident DJ several years ago, and released the first ever mix CD to represent Seattle’s flagship house music party, now the longest running house music night on the west coast, nearly 20 years of house magic.
In Seattle, Karl has played and created terrific parties in venues such as Re-bar, The Woods, The Cuff, Electric Tea Garden, Expansions on KEXP, The Underground, The Baltic Room, Havana, The Monkey Loft. In addition to Flammable Sundays at ReBar, Karl is the creator of Seattle house pillars like Proper at Baltic Room and Soft Option at Monkey Loft.

Our countdown includes a daily sneak peak into our stash of tracks we’ve been gathering just for you. We’re just two days away from the Bottom Forty Interior with Vin Sol this Saturday at Kremwerk. Our musical salivary glands are dripping with anticipation so we’re giving you a daily sneak peek into our record bags. Today’s track was selected by spaceotter and is called In The Box by Andreas Saag. It’s a minimal tech house jam with a few old school breakbeats thrown in for good measure. Enjoy and we’ll see you this Saturday kittehs!
Just three more days until the Bottom Forty Interior this Saturday at Kremwerk! So to help you keep track, we’re giving you a sneak peak of what we have on tap for you. Today we have a vocal hook-heavy deep house jam by Borrowed Identity selected by Nark!
Only 23 years young, Borrowed Identity resides in Germany but original hails from Romania. Even at his tender age, he seems to have a well seasoned ear with no less than eight releases under his belt.
Ok listen up, the Bottom Forty Interior party is this Saturday Sep. 13 at Kremwerk and we have the amazing DJ/producer Vin Sol on hand to shake us down! All the Bottom Forty residents will be on hand to contribute their signature sounds to the night as well. What can you expect to hear you ask? Well first off, you can be assured that everything you’ll hear will be qual-i-tee.
I’ll give you a little sneak peek of what’s in my virtual record bag for this weekend. Starting with a track from Moiré out on the Werkdiscs imprint. It’s a moody and acid tinged jam that bounces around your head like an atom under the influence of hallucinogens. The B40 crew will surly serve it up propperly this Saturday!
Bonus! Here’s a mix Moiré put together for Fact Magazine last month.

Have you ever wanted to teleport to another city and check out a couple DJs or a club night only because of what you’ve heard? Take for example, A Digital Needle (ADN), Dylan and John are the two masterminds who make ADN the recognizable team that they are. I have come to find that both their musical selection and sound quality is exceptional. Their edits are indeed something to look forward to and covet. So if I had teleport capabilities I would put “Beam Me Up” on the top of that list. First stop, Toronto, Ontario.
