Bottom Forty

Bottom Forty is a mirror ball in New York, a basement in Chicago, a cruise in L.A. and a night in the desert.

Otterotation: Adam Freeland’s “Indefinable Mysterious Power”

adamfreeland-newlookAdam Freeland is the Tony Stark of the electronic music world. Equal parts badass and musical genius, he possesses a not inconsiderable amount of rockstar swagger. His new mix “Indefinable Mysterious Power” is currently cascading my headphones with wicked bass, an affinity for garbled robot vocals, and psychedelic depth, all with a distinctly UK flavor. Of particular interest here for me is Justin Martin’s & Eats Everything’s “Harpy” which could be one of the best tracks of 2013 so far and ZZT’s “Party’s Over Los Angeles” (John Convex remix), which badass bassline shakes my legs and mixes my brains to bits. A little breakbeat, a little rock & roll…I dare you not to feel this:
