Bottom Forty

Bottom Forty is a mirror ball in New York, a basement in Chicago, a cruise in L.A. and a night in the desert.

Blackwell – Boogie Down And Mess Around

I did a bit of digging over the weekend and found this sweet treat.
Charles Blackwell is a British composer and producer who got his start in the early 60’s and then working with artists such as Engelbert Humperdinck, Taj Mahal, Brigitte Bardot, Tom Jones and David Hassellhoff(!?!).
Boogie Down was the only release to bear his name and be solely comprised of his compositions. It was released in 1978 on the Butterfly Records imprint. The title track is probably the most popular cut from the record. Move Your Ass Gringo is probably the most campy and fun track. But Give It All Ya Got is by far the stand out track on the album IMHO. Check it out for yourself, and go ahead and download it too. My gift to you because it’s the least I can do <3
